Memorial Day

Adam was the croquet champ of the day...and was able to "tee off" the best...:)

We had a very relaxing weekend with a Memorial Day full of activities. First when I went to kickboxing at 8:00, Dixon went to play at Grandma Wendy's house. We picked Dixon up at 11:00 and headed out to the farm, where Dixon played with many cousins, horses, kittens, dogs, ect. Next we were off to Grandpa Dan and Grandma Gayle's where Dixon had fun playing croquet, driving his truck, and playing in his water table. It was a wonderful day full of family, food, and fun!

Questions, comments, and concerns.

Since we have announced our BIG news many people have had all types of questions...
I thought I would take time for a little Q and A.

Q: Were you trying to have another baby? (most frequently asked question)

A: The phrase around our house the past month has been, " We are surprised, but not shocked." ":)
First, I must say that Adam has been trying to convince me to start trying since Dixon was 3 months old! Well, you may remember a ceratin post when I blogged about my liver results and I wrote that I had to get off of a medication. Now, I will leave it up to you to determine the medication I stopped taking.
I have always wanted kids close together...and apparently this is just the right time! Adam and I feel so blessed with another baby. Plus, we are so excited for Dixon to have a sibling close in age, they will have SO much fun together.

Q: What about your diet?

A: Many of you know that I was on the Medifast diet and had MUCH success. However, this diet has been put on hold! I am back to eating normal and loving every carb of it.

Q: Are you going to continue kickboxing?

A: Yes. I started about 1.5 weeks before we found out and the dr. said as long as I felt comfortable I could continue. I am going to re-evaluate after the next 5 week session is over. It feels great to

Q: How are you feeling?

A: Honestly? Crappy. For the first few weeks I was able to do exactly what I always wanted to do when I was pregnant with Dixon. When someone asked how I was feeling, I could smile and say "GREAT!" However, that feeling soon passed. Now I am sick to my stomach all day every day.

Q: How far along are you? When are you due?

A: I am eight weeks! Due December 31st!

Q: When did you find out?

A: I KNEW that I was approximately eight weeks ago. After 6 negative (too soon) pregnancy tests. We finally got a positive one, when I was 3 weeks and 6 days pregnant! It has been extremely hard to keep the news in, I do not know how people do it for the whole 12 weeks!

Q: Do you think it is a boy or a girl?

A: Adam hates when I say that I think it is a boy. He doesn't want me to jinx it! We would be THRILLED with either. I am basing my prediction solely on the Chinese Calendar. Time will tell...but I have already begun researching hair clippies and practiced swooping Dixon's hair to one side. Just in case. :)

Q: Do you have any names picked out?

A: I have about 582 names picked out, but Adam does not agree with any of them...except for a select few. The jury is still out on this one.

updates...

Dixon has had a BIG weekend...we went to Aunt Maddy and cousin Macie's graduation parties on Saturday and had a great time! On Sunday we went to church, had a great BIG nap and went out to the farm...Dixon had his first tractor ride and then had a blast torturing the kittens...

More posts will be coming soon! I have found my camera charger (no more miniature phone pictures!), so the blogging dry spell is over!!

Off to school...these next 8 days seems like an eternity!

mjkt.

For Mother's Day Maddy Jackson Tasha and I got our pictures taken together as a gift for our mom. Now I realize why there are very few pictures of all four of us together...We are BUSY people. Jackson has practice until Maddy has dance and I have kickboxing, then the sun is down. Tasha goes to work early and to Clear Lake, her new home ;( on the weekends, when Jackson is at either a basketball or soccer tournament and Maddy is at one of her two proms. CRAZY! Lovely Leann made it so easy to schedule and take all of the wonderful pics in less than 45 minutes!
When finally got together, here are the results...my model sisters, handsome brother and I.

The players who attended the picnic!

2001 seniors (minus Jackie)

This was my BIG picnic weekend! It is my high school volleyball coach's 20th year coaching at WHS! I held a picnic and invited all of the graduating seniors and their parents, plus the previous assistant coaches! The weather was amazing and it was SO awesome to see such a great turn out. Coach Eldridge really is a special lady and I was so thrilled that so many people came out to see her!

We have not been living in a cave...however Dixon does have pneumonia! We were at Blank ER until 2:00 am yesterday. He is doing good now...hopefully this will be it and we will have a HEALTHY summer!
