I did NOT not realize that my college class was over this week and I still had a TON of work to do...Not me! I am the non-tradition student, who always knows what is going on in class.
I do not currently want to pull my hair out when I think about Dixon's current sleep situation...No I do not hold him until he falls alseep...he goes to sleep just on his own!
I am not still the tiniest bit perturbed with target... and I do not secretly still hope that I will get my car seats!
I did not take Dixon to the doctor secretly hoping that and ear infection would be the reason that he was up 4-5 times per night instead of his usual sleeping through the night!
When I looked around my house last night I did not realize that it was a total disaster and (demand) kindly request that Adam get out of bed to help me clean!
I did not spend the past 10 minutes trying to figure out how to strike through a word and then resort to using parentheses.
Need to admit what you did not do this week? Or just need to read what other moms did not do to help realize you are not alone? Then head on over the MckMama's blog at www.mycharmingkids.net !!!

Hey Kendra, It's been a little hard since Abigail's been sick but when she wakes at night I don't go in and she eventually goes back to sleep. The first few nights were very hard I just wanted to go in there in nurse her back to sleep but by the 4th night she would wake up and fuss for 5 mins or less and go back to sleep. It's really hard but she was like Dixon and waking up more than she was a newborn (like every hour or so :() and there was nothing I could do to put her back to sleep, she didn't want to be rocked or anything, not to mention the fact that I could hardly function! I would try the intermittent checks first, I think it's kind of "nicer" but for Abigail at least that made her more upset. It's hard because it only works if you really consistent since you don't want them to learn that the longer and harder they cry then you'll come in. And then sickness makes them regress a bit since you can't really let them cry then..... It's all very hard but after reading that book I knew I had to do it. Do you want to borrow it? I could send it to you if you want. My email is raekoch10@hotmail.com if you want to talk more or if you want me to mail you that book.
I just gotta comment again because I too took Abigail to the doctor thinking there had to be something wrong with her when she didn't sleep either! Ahhhh...motherhood. :)
Oh man, I've tried and tried to figure out how to strike a word and I still have no clue!
Hang in there with the sleeping thing! Remember...chances are in two weeks you'll be able to remember this as a phase. :-)
Oh the stikes, I just learned how like this < s > but without the spaces.
Hey, thanks for visiting my blog and for prayers offered up for us.
I feel for you about the sleep, or lack thereof. My first child, now 12, was an awful sleeper. WE just let her sleep w/ us because it was easier. Worse in the long run because she would be found in our bed n the mornings until she was 6!!!! Our second just wanted to be laid down. It unfortunantly is the temperment of the child!!! I know that d/n help. I could never bear to have them cry--I figured she needed some cuddles if she was up and crying--but she out grew it. Try 'white noise--we have a air purifier that runs all night in the 5 year olds room--seems to help with the noises that may wake her up. I am sure my ramblings h/n been helpful. It does get better!!!!
How to do a Strike through...
1. type the word you want to strike
2. at the top of the compose a new post page are two tabs...COMPOSE and HTML. You type in COMPOSE..click on the HTML
3. In front of the word you want to strike through put < s > after the word put < / s > NO SPACES ( I had to put spaces in order for it to post.
4. Go back to COMPOSE..your word will have the strike through it.
Hope this helps.
Tammy
