honestly...
And I HONESTLY could not be more excited! Those who know me well have been accusing me of wanting a girl all along and HONESTLY I have been hoping for a boy!!!
Although I HAVE been eyeing girl clothes and bows...just in case...
There are a few reasons I am HONESTLY SO esctatic we are having another sweet baby boy...
1. Dixon gets a brother and best friend!
2. Adam was secretly DYING for a boy...he wouldn't even tell me, until after the ultrasound!
3. We have every.single piece of clothing and accessories we could ever need!
4. I am half way caught up to cousin Brooke's brood of 4 BOYS!!
5. I am still the only one in my house who gets pedicures.
6. I LALALALOVE baby boys!
I will post some of the ultrasound pics tomorrow...I left the disc at Grandma Gayle's...:)

third and final leg
For the third an final leg of our trip I met back up with Dixon and Grandma Wendy in Okoboji! We had fun playing around the lake...but as you can see from the sweatshirts...it was too cold to get in the water.
Cousin Cort got 31st place (out of 250 runners!!) at the Okoboji Triathlon on Saturday morning!!

second leg
For the second leg of our trip Dixon and I parted ways as he headed over to Okoboji/ Spencer and I headed up north to Minneapolis to see Auntie Kayla! Kayla and I shopped and ate and saw a movie, it was just like 6 years ago...kind of.
Dixon, Grandma Wendy and Uncle Jackson made the trek to Uncle Todd and Aunt Val's house. As you can see from the pictures he was in very good hands. :)

first leg
You may have noticed that I have been a little MIA from my blog. We have been very busy around our house and Dixon is finally better! He had a bad case of Foot Hand and Mouth Disease as well as Thrush! It was a nightmare...no eating or sleeping for the poor little guy for 4 days!
With everyone in good health, we left on Thursday for our big adventure! The first leg of our trip took us to visit Aunt Tasha and Uncle Eric! We got in on some of her wedding plans and went dress shopping...
We also played with Meka and drooled over Tasha's knack for decorating! We had a wonderful time!

oh those summer nights...
Dixon likes to sit in his own chair...he is too big now for mama's lap! ;(
We have been having a blast this summer spending the nights (the ones that are not too hot, or too cold) out at the baseball and softball diamonds. We have been watching cousins Macie and Mari play softball and cousin Chance play baseball. They are the stars of their teams....if you ask us! :)

a heavy heart
I am writing this post with a heavy heart. It was 10 years ago today that my Grandpa Dick passed away. I have been struggling with his death a lot lately. It is especially hard when things are going so well. I just always wish he was here to share in the joy. I know he would be having a blast with his first great grandson and namesake, Dixon. He would be so proud of all of his kids and grandchildren for carrying on his tradition of putting his family first and living life to the fullest.

Aunt Rachel and Aunt Sarah...
We had such an amazing time when Rach and Sarah were here! Every time we see each other it feels like no time has passed...we pick up right where we left off...In the short time she was here we went to a Cubs game, to the pool, on walks, out to eat 347 times, the mall, but mostly watched tv and RELAXED! I miss her already and I am counting down the days until May!!! :)
