find a daddy shoes

As my sister Tasha and I were going through our items from the garage sale last weekend we had many, many, many laughs. We found tons of items from our past lives, before kids. When we came across two almost identical pairs of Steve Madden pumps that Tasha put in the sale. She informed me that:

"those aren't mommy shoes, those are find a daddy shoes."

Oh Tashie, I am still laughing over this one.
It made two days in desert heat totally worth it!

What I'm obsessed Wednesday

As I was running through strolling around my AB FAVE store in the world the other day, I could not help but
be drawn to these beauties!

Now if you knew me in my past life (B.D.), this will come as no surprise to you.

I could often be seen in sequin anything, glitter eye make up, ect, ect, ect.

I also had approximetly 8 pairs of Ugg boots, in every imaginable color.

Since the boys (and a mortgage) have entered my life, let's just say my tastes have tamed down a bit.

;)

After about 10 minutes of contemplation I have decided they are not practical...but if they were...I would get the red ones. Just like Dorothy's ruby slippers. There's no place like home.

I mean, they would really go with any bold color.

So if you are reading this blog, and you are a tween, teen or a twenty, and you have an extra $160, please, for me, get the red ones.

Wear them to your college classes with your Pink sweatsuit, and your hair pulled up.

In memory of Kendra (B.D.)

;)

Now, THIS is a color wheel!

sweet summertime. sweet shot tuesday.

Temperature says 93

But that swimmin' hole

It's nice and cold.

Whos doesn't love a little Kenny Chesney on a sweet summer day? Right?

I know I sure do! Last week my cousin Carter was in town staying with my grandma.
We took full advantage! He came to the pool with us on a few occasions.

This particular day at the pool it was 3 on 2...so I took full advantage and snapped a pic of my little fishes.

While they are both a little more brave than I would like...I love that they LOVE the water.

While I was taking these pics, I was reminded of this post (click here grandma) and this one too (grandma) of summers past.

Now, I'm not a medical professional, but I think this is called an enema.

I know you will agree that all of these shots are sweet, but I just had to link this one up to Sweet Shot Tuesday over at My Three Boybarians

Sweet Shot Day

I just can't get enough of the blue sky, the dripping water and the sparkling smile. :)

What I'm obsessed with Wednesday:

Have you ever seen something so beautiful as a big silver pendant with your little darlings names stamped in?

There is a woman in my hometown who started making these as a gift for a daycare mom and it has caught on...

She hammers down vintage silver spoons and then stamps the name of your children into them.

She does many variations on the theme and is so easy to work with.

Check out her website, she will ship anywhere and trust me you will not be disapointed.

I'm obsessed.

Where's Dixon? Where's Breckies? Where's the fishies?

These pictures were taken at what is currently becoming our favorite summer spot.

The pond on my dad's farm.

^^ He get it from his mama. ^^

Can you feel the excitement?

As Grandma Patty said, "This is Grandpa the teacher." My dad LOVES everything nature and he especially loves sharing it with the boys.

I absolutley love the following pics of the boys in the boat...I plan to do something fun with them, like a collage or a new (updated) header. But for now...here they are...:)

Could Dixon get ANY closer to the worms without touching them? ;)
