Dixon's Auntie Kayla came to visit last weekend...we had a BLAST eating out, watching E!, and shopping. It was just like old times!
It was perfect timing to get my mind off of the procedure (which I am doing just fine from!). Dixon went to Grandma Wendy's house on Saturday and we had an ALL GIRL ALL DAY in Des Moines!! Now we are planning a trip to go up to MN to see her and go to the ZOO!!

Liver on the brain...

I guess I have had this little guy on my mind lately. I have done two things today that are not totally out of character, but a little odd to do both in the same day...

1. As I was walking to my CLASSROOM door this morning, I was pushing the unlock button on my keychain for my CAR!

2. TWICE today I have gone into the school bathroom and shut the lights OFF!

I will relax tonight and snuggle with my little angel and know that everything will go just as planned tomorrow!

He is resting up while he has a chance...we have a hetic week at the Alexander house!
Tuesday Adam is going with his work friends to a hockey game.
Bright and early Wednesday morning Adam is taking me to get a liver biopsy (more on that in a moment).
Wednesday night Adam has volleyball.
Thursday I am going to "Legally Blonde: The Musical" with mom and sisters.
Friday we will have a chance to catch our breath and Saturday Max is coming for an overnight.
Not to mention that Grandpa Don is starting on our bathroom this week. We are TOTALLY redoing it! WOOT!

Ok about the biopsy...I have been having high liver enzymes since last October. I have done many tests and had a countless number of blood samples. On Wednesday I am going in to have a liver biopsy. They will put a small needle in through my side and pull out a sample of my liver (too weird!). I am very nervous, mostly for my LOW pain tolereance. I am confindent that everything will be just fine. However, I am asking that all of my wonderful blogosphere friends would pray that everthing goes smootly Wednesday morning!

Oh how I love thee...

UGGS!
I have been obsessed with Ugg boots since the day they came out five years ago and were selling for $250 on ebay, because you could not buy them anywhere! Even though people have said they are out or old...I have never abandoned my love for Ugg boots! I will not even tell you how many pair I own...but I love each and every one of them, light pink, dark pink, orange, blue, black, brown!
This is my newest obsession...the turquoise ones!
Where there is a will there's a way!!!

Ok so I have a problem with making decisions...even very small ones...but this decision is HUGE. For Dixon's pictures I wanted him to wear a fun shirt for some of them to show his fun loving side. I am torn between the silly monster and the funny tie. They are both from etsy.com (an AWESOME website).

DIXON IS LOVEd!

He had a wonderful first Valentine's day. Although everyday is like Valentine's day for this little cupid. He is never at a loss for affection, with all of his grandparents, aunts and unlces...there is always someone loving on Dixon!
Dixon and I went to the play center at the mall while we waited for Adam to get off work on the big day. Then we had a VERY romantic Valentine's Day, picking out items for our new bathroom at Lowe's with Grandpa Don and eating at Joe's Crab Shack! ;)

DOUBLE DIGITS!

Dixon also turned 10 months old this past weekend! It is crazy how fast it is going! One year will be here before we know it!

At 10 months he is still as sometimes cuddly, finicky eating, 3 time a night waking, fast crawling, 8 teeth owning, water bottle loving, bath time adoring, beautiful baby boy! We are continually blessed and amazed to have him in our lives!!

Online Shopping = Bliss

As I search for the perfect outfit for Dixon to take his ONE YEAR pictures in ( I know it is still 2 months away, but I have been looking for the past month!), I came across one of my all time favorite shopping websites. I would lay on the couch for hours searching this site. It is truly amazing. It pulls the best items from various other sites and puts them all together onto one!

Wordless Wednesday: Time for a faux hawk and a bath!

Not Me! Monday

It's time again for the blog carnival that is Not Me! Mondays. If you want to join in, or just want to read what so many others did NOT so this past week...head on over to My Charming Kids!

Yesterday I did not head off to church and wind up in front of Dan and Gayle's house (Adam's parents, where Dixon goes on M,Th,F)!! No...I am always thinking clearly, and would never wind up somewhere totally out of my way!

I did not turn 26! this past week...and not mention it to anyone! I am totally fine with my birthdays and do not pout like a pre teen when my birthday rolls around.

I have not gotten multiple of my friends following MckMama too! Don't worry I really will NOT out you on my blog...which tens of people read every day!

Last week I did not have all 14 bottles dirty in the sink at once...I always keep up on cleaning bottles and would never take a break THAT long!

I am NOT dying to know what the prize might be that MckMama is giving out to a lucky Not Me'er!

I have not been tivoing The Soup lately and watching it at least twice, so I can catch and remember each joke...to retell later!

We're having a heat wave...a TROPICAL heat wave!

Well...maybe it wouldn't be considered tropical, but for February in the Midwest it was HOT yesterday. Even though the snow is not completely melted and there are small streams in the streets, when it hit 50 degrees yesterday, we hit the streets! It is so nice to be able to get out and walk again...it makes me long for Spring weather! Unfortunately, what goes up must come down (especially temps in February)!

Daddy Days

As most of you know Tuesdays and Wednesdays are considered "Daddy Days" around the Alexander house. On these special days Mommy heads off to work and leaves the boys of the house to spend some quality time together.

I am sure that there are many hilarious things that happen in our house on Tuesdays and Wednesdays that I never hear about...However, when I came home a couple weeks ago here is what I saw....

As I pulled into the driveway I saw Adam and Dixon waving at me through the window (as usual). As I stepped out of my car, I saw that Adam appeared to be wearing some ahem strange attire. He was wearing athletic shorts, no shirt, and the kicker, my long turquoise beaded necklace. When I questioned why he was wearing my jewelry, he looked at me like I was the crazy one and said, "Because Dixon likes to chew on it."

Duh...what was I thinking.
